AT THE EDGE OF THE OCEAN
Vesta Home’s first Hawaii project begins at the edge of the ocean in Lanikai, where this $31M estate sits quietly with front-row views of the Mokulua Islands. With more than 150 feet of ocean frontage, a private gated entrance and over 10,000 square feet of thoughtfully designed indoor-outdoor living, the home balances scale with serenity.
Designed by award-winning architect Jim Jennings, the residence captures sweeping ocean and mountain views from nearly every room. A guest house and caretaker’s quarters offer space for hosting, while direct ocean access from the backyard makes swimming, snorkeling, kayaking or an afternoon by the pool feel like part of the daily routine.
Creative director Taylor Sassa approached the interiors with one goal in mind: soften the home’s bold, linear architecture while staying true to its setting. Curved furniture silhouettes bring ease and flow throughout the home, layered with caramel and chocolate-toned woods, bouclé rugs and plush upholstery for warmth. In the living room, Vesta's Kennedy sectional anchors the space in a generous L-shape, balanced by Tryphena lounge chairs in mocha for depth and contrast. Outdoors, the home takes on the feel of a boutique resort, with loungers and intimate seating areas made for long days and even longer nights.
