The Bryant Penthouse, located at 16 W 40th Street, is a masterpiece of modern contemporary design, crafted by renowned architect David Chipperfield. The penthouse boasts striking architectural features, including custom terrazzo stone, oak herringbone floors, double-height loggias, and a breathtaking rooftop deck.
The interiors have been meticulously staged to highlight these elements, with a focus on maintaining the architectural integrity of the space. Designer Melinda Wolrab took inspiration from the building's clean lines and elegant finishes, choosing low-profile furniture to keep sight lines clear and selecting a palette of blues, greys, blushes, and greens that harmonize with the penthouse's refined aesthetic.

This partnership allowed for the creation of a cohesive art program that integrates seamlessly with the interior design. One of the standout elements in the dining area is the use of our wooden Lastovo dining chairs in a walnut finish, which bring a warm, organic feel to the contemporary space. These chairs, with their rich wood grain and tactile appeal, add depth and contrast to the otherwise sleek and modern interior.
The open-plan dining room flows seamlessly into the kitchen, where a marble island serves as the centerpiece. This island, with its bold veining and luxurious finish, is complemented by mixed metal counter stools that add a layer of visual interest and complexity.
