Fall 2025 Luxury Home Design Trends: What’s Next in Interiors

As the seasons change, design evolves with it. This fall, interiors are embracing warmth, artistry and personality, setting the tone for homes that feel both elevated and deeply lived-in. From rich burgundy tones to sculptural furniture silhouettes, Vesta Home’s design teams are seeing luxury clients gravitate toward trends that celebrate comfort, storytelling and bold statements.

And according to our own Executive Creative Director of KH, Krista Watterworth Alterman, recently quoted in Elle Decor, these shifts aren’t about fleeting fashion. They’re about creating homes that feel soulful, layered, and expressive. Krista now leads Vesta’s interior design team in Florida, expanding her vision through KH by Vesta.

Earthy, Cozy Color Palettes

When the weather cools, the palette deepens. Fall 2025 is all about what Krista calls “seasonal intimacy”, spaces designed for snuggling up in sexy, deep tones like burgundy, dark greens, plum and mocha. Whether it’s a velvet sofa in plum or a library wrapped in rich wood paneling, these shades transform rooms into retreats.

Curves and Organic Shapes

Hard lines are softening. From scalloped headboards to rounded furniture pieces like Vesta's Alta lounge chairs, designers are embracing curves that double as sculptural statements. These forms are timeless but also grounding; reminders of organic movement and the rhythm of nature.

Cookie-cutter perfection is out. Collected, lived-in layering is in. Homes are becoming reflections of personal journeys—mixing antiques with contemporary pieces, cherished family objects with bold new finds. Krista notes that “perfectly imperfect” is the hallmark of today’s most beautiful interiors.

Artful, Expressive Finishes

Small details, big impact. Think antique mirrors, traditional millwork refreshed with unexpected colors, and even the resurgence of Victorian florals. These artful touches add charm and heritage to modern spaces, creating a dialogue between past and present.

Dramatic Stone and Metallics

Statement marble is the material of the season. Deep green slabs, richly veined fireplaces, and bold kitchen islands are turning architectural moments into works of art. Paired with shiny silver-toned metals like chrome and nickel, the result is dramatic, glamorous, and undeniably modern.

Pattern Drenching

Palm Beach has always loved a good pattern, but now the rest of the country is catching on. Full-scale layering of florals, geometrics, and nature-inspired prints is trending from New York lofts to Aspen chalets. It’s maximalism done right—lush, playful, and filled with personality.

The Takeaway

Fall 2025 design isn’t about perfection. It’s about warmth, story, and substance. At Vesta, our approach is rooted in crafting spaces that not only respond to these trends but elevate them—layering scale, texture, and tone to create interiors that feel both of-the-moment and enduring.

As Krista shared with Elle Decor, this season is about homes that are “personal, curated, and grounded.” That’s exactly the lens through which Vesta Home and KH approach every project—spaces styled for today, but designed to last.
